We worked with Mount Cook Adventure Centre to deliver a tailored, cost-effective solution that would meet their facility requirements within a three-week turnaround.
A dynamic build, for a dynamic company
Based in Matlock, Derbyshire, Mount Cook Adventure Centre is renowned for its adventurous outdoor pursuits enjoyed by children and young adults across the region. To accommodate their visitors’ needs, Mount Cook Adventure Centre a space for a drying/changing facility so visitors are able to get ready for their activities.
With a limited budget, we were able to provide Mount Cook a facility that fitted in with the dynamics of the adventure centre, which was located in a rural area of Matlock. We initially discussed offering a turnkey package to include cedar cladding to prevent it from standing out as a modular building, but they wanted a building, which also would provide longevity with an element of energy efficiency.

So as well as offering the optional cost of cladding to the building which would increase insulation, we also offered a full roof replacement along with LED lighting upgrade to make it more energy efficient, reducing monthly energy bills.
We ensure all of our services are tailored and adaptable to the needs of the client, in which case, Mount Cook decided that they would accept the offer of the new roof with LED lighting, but would do the cedar cladding themselves as it was above their budget range.
