RBS proudly supports grassroots football at DCFC

After a spectacular victory against Reading at the start of the season, under the guidance of new Manager, Frank Lampard, this Championship looks set to be an especially exciting one for Derby County supporters.
As longtime fans ourselves, and as proud supporters of grassroots football in Derby, Relocatable Building Systems was even more thrilled to see our sponsored team — Mickleover RBL (Royal British Legion) Under-elevens Jaguars — walk out alongside players as the Rams geared up for their first home game of the season.
“As a company based in Derby, supporting our local community is massively important to us,” explains RBS’ Managing Director, Adam Smith. “We’ve always been passionate about local sports, so being able to do something like this with our sponsored team is truly phenominal.

“For these boys, football means so much, and getting the chance to walk out onto hallowed ground with their idols is a really inspirational moment.
“We’ve always viewed grassroots football as the future of the sport; it’s where talent is truly nurtured and developed. That’s why RBS proudly sponsors these up-and-coming athletes. We want our kids and our community to the best that they can be for the future.”

Of course, Derby’s love of the beautiful game is no big secret. We’re very much a community that takes great pride and exudes serious passion for the sport. And for RBS, in particular, this is something that’s very important.
“Derby has a rich and storied history when it comes to football,” Adam continues, “it’s a huge part of people’s lives. Names like Bloomer and Clough mean a great deal to a lot of people across our community.
“For everybody here at RBS, we just want to support and give back to these communities who share the same love for the sport as we all do.”
